When you purchase the software, you receive a lifetime license for that specific version, allowing you to use it indefinitely. However, this does not include future updates that are past the expiration date of your software license and maintenance.

Starting with Visere Captura 2.0, we are introducing introduced Pro Filters, which require an active license and are offered as a service. In Version 2.0, the only Pro Filter is Background Removal Pro, which requires an active license to function.

All other features of Visere Captura will continue to operate even if the license expires, ensuring uninterrupted access to core functionality.

Our licensing scheme is designed to make Visere Captura affordable for photographers globally while ensuring the continued maintenance, development, and enhancement of the software. Here's how it works:

• Upon purchasing the software, you receive one year of upgrades and live technical support (via all communication methods).
• Starting with Visere Captura 2.0, we are introducing Pro Filters, which require an active license and are offered as a service. In Version 2.0, the only Pro Filter is Background Removal Pro, which requires an active license to function.
• At the end of the first year, you have two options:
  1. Purchase another year of software upgrades and support, continuing your benefits.
  2. Opt not to purchase additional support. In this case, the software will still run indefinitely, but you won't receive upgrades or live technical support. However, you can use our Knowledge Base for troubleshooting. We strive to make this resource as helpful and informative as possible.  If you opt out from purchasing additional support all the Pro Filters will also be disabled.
• The license for Visere Captura is tied to a unique user and computer. If you need to transfer the license to another computer, contact our Technical Support Team for a free transfer, regardless of whether your license is active or expired.
• After the initial purchase of the software, you can renew the license for one year of support and upgrades at the price of the maintenance license.
• You can lock in additional years of support by purchasing additional maintenance licenses.

We strongly recommend maintaining an active license to ensure continuous access to the latest versions, bug fixes, and technical support.

Suppose you purchase Visere Captura on January 1, 2025.

• You will have access to version upgrades and technical support until January 1, 2026.
• If you decide not to renew maintenance in 20272026, you can continue using any version released before January 1, 2026.  The Prof Filters Pro Filters (such as Background Removal Pro) will be disabled, but all other features of Visere Captura will continue to operate even if the license expires, ensuring uninterrupted access to core functionality.
• If you decide to upgrade in July 2028, you will have to purchase the maintenance license and the upgrade will cover maintenance and support from July 2028 to July 2029.
• In conclusion, after the initial purchase of the software all future one year upgrades and support will cost the price of the maintenance license.
