Is Visere Captura's license a Software-As-A-Service (SAAS) model or a one time purchase and I own it forever? |
When you purchase the software, you receive a lifetime license for that specific version, allowing you to use it indefinitely. However, this does not include future updates. Starting with Visere Captura 2.0, we are introducing Pro Filters, which require an active license and are offered as a service. In Version 2.0, the only Pro Filter is Background Removal Pro, which requires an active license to function. All other features of Visere Captura will continue to operate even if the license expires, ensuring uninterrupted access to core functionality. |
At Pictomic, our mission is to maximize the utility of Visere Captura for photographers worldwide. Our team of technologists and developers is dedicated to creating solutions that empower photographers everywhere. We take immense pride in having as many photographers as possible use Visere Captura. Purchased licenses are also referred to as concurrent licenses. See Non-Concurrent Backup Licensing for more details.
Our licensing scheme is designed to make Visere Captura affordable for photographers globally while ensuring the continued maintenance, development, and enhancement of the software. Here's how it works:
We strongly recommend maintaining an active license to ensure continuous access to the latest versions, bug fixes, and technical support. |

Please be aware that the Visere Captura license is strictly tied to a single user and a single computer. The license file is non-transferable and cannot be shared between different computers or users. If you need to operate Visere Captura on the same computer under multiple user profiles, you will require additional non-concurrent backup licenses. |
Non-concurrent licenses require the purchase of at least on concurrent license. See Non-Concurrent Backup Licensing for more details.
